Everyone always ask me where I came up with the name "TaterBug" . The name TaterBug got started back when I was a child working in the tobacco fields, my last name is Tate and while working in those tobacco fields one of the farmers stated calling me Tater, that nickname later grew into TaterBug and now the name TaterBug is known through out the entire East coast for Award Winning Bar-B-Que and Bluegrass Music.

I want your visit to TaterBug's Bar-B-Que to be one to remember...and to tell your friends about! I start out with the best cuts of meat possible, not the cheapest. With a lot of time and pride, I slow smoke the meat to assure the best of natural flavor with less fat. If you notice a hint of pinkness, it is not undercooked, it is the penetration of the smoke.
